Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre
Kirkwood McLean were approached in December 2012 by the RSPB to undertake a feasibility study and masterplan for the new visitor centre for Sherwood Forest. Working alongside cultural consultants Barker Langham, Kirkwood Mclean formulated a strategic brief and concept building design to replace the existing unsatisfactory facilities, and provide a high quality, and much-needed, new visitor gateway to this historic and cultural significant location. The Kirkwood McLean design was used by the RSPB as part of their business case which secured the site for future development.
